GMAC Insurance Award for Extraordinary Service
Award Description:
The GMAC Insurance Award for Extraordinary Service will be given to an individual who, through his or her actions, best reflects the true ideals of the Rural Letter Carriers' Association.
The Award may not be given every year.
Award:
The recipient will receive:
• A $500 contribution to the charity of their choice;
• An all-expense-paid trip to the Association's Annual National Convention;
• Recognition at the National Convention; and
• Presentation of the GMAC Insurance Award for Extraordinary Service.
Nominee Criteria:
The nominee must be a member of the National Rural Letter Carriers' Association and must demonstrate a pattern and history of personalized service to their customers that:
• Makes a demonstrable difference in the lives of their customers;
• Builds lasting, positive relationships with customers;
• Creates value by adding to the customers' image of Rural Letter Carriers; and
• Reflects the ongoing passion and commitment to excellent service, which is the foundation of the Association.
Nomination Process:
• Any member of the Association can nominate any other member of the Association other than him/herself.
• Each nomination should include a description of how, in the opinion of the nominator, the nominee meets the criteria for the award. Descriptions should be limited to 500 words and should be sent to the State Secretary in which the nominee is a registered member to verify membership.
Judging Process:
• Nominations will be screened by the State Association Board of the state in which the nominee is a registered member.
• The nomination description for the nominee from each state who, in the opinion of that state's leadership, best meets the Nominee Criteria, will be forwarded to GMAC insurance (attention Shirley Como) who, with other Marketing Representatives, will select the top three from all nominations. Those three will be reviewed with the National Rural Letter Carriers' Board and, if deemed appropriate, a winner will be selected.

• State Nominations Closed -- June 30th
• National Selection Completed -- July 5th
• GMAC Insurance Reviews and Decides -- July 15th
• Announcement and Award Presentation -- At Association's Annual Meeting (August)
